Dog training for the Capital RegionVirtual now, in person during visit weeks
KompK9 is an Annapolis based training company with upstate New York roots, and Zak is bringing it home. Over the next couple of years, KompK9 is relocating to the Capital Region. Training is available there right now in two forms: live virtual lessons you can start today, and in-person sessions during scheduled visit weeks a few times a year.
Start virtual training now
Virtual lessons are live video sessions with Zak: real-time coaching for obedience, manners, puppy training, and behavior problems, with you handling your own dog. It is the same personal instruction Annapolis clients get in person, and it is available in New York today.
In-person training during visit weeks
Zak returns to the Capital Region three to four times a year and books in-person sessions during those weeks. Spots are limited and go to the NY list first. Join the list and you will get the dates before anyone else, with no obligation attached.
Dog training in Albany, Schenectady, Troy, Saratoga Springs, and Clifton Park
Visit week sessions cover Albany and the surrounding towns, including Schenectady, Troy, Saratoga Springs, and Clifton Park. If you are elsewhere in the Capital Region, join the list and mention your town, because the schedule flexes around demand.
One more thing worth knowing if you have been comparing board and train programs around Albany: KompK9 works differently. The training comes to your home, you learn alongside your dog, and your dog never boards anywhere.

Why wait for a trainer from Maryland?
Because this is not really a Maryland company. Zak grew up here, the business phone has been a 518 number all along, and the relocation is a homecoming rather than an expansion. Clients who start now, virtually or during visit weeks, get direct access to Zak, in-home training instead of a facility model, and first priority when KompK9 becomes a full time Capital Region business.
Join the NY list
Name, email, town, and a line about your dog. That is all it takes. You will hear about visit weeks first, plus relocation updates as the move gets closer.
